In the 1980s, Manoharan emerged as a prominent figure in the city's crude oil smuggling operations. He stood firmly against Patani's vision of establishing a private port designed to serve as a central hub for the illicit oil trade. To force the government’s hand and realize his own ambitions, Manoharan stole a significant amount of oil directly from the pipeline as leverage. Eventually, Vasu uncovers the whereabouts of the missing oil, bringing the mystery to light.
