All the stars have vanished. The planets have disappeared into darkness. Only those aboard space stations and starships remain to witness what has become known as The Quiet Rapture. After years of neglect, decay, and crumbling infrastructure, the Iron Consolidation makes a startling discovery on the desolate moon AT-5: an endless sea of blood-red liquid. Driven by the urgent need for vital resources, they swiftly organize an expedition. A specially designed submarine is built, with a convict sealed inside as part of the mission. Given the immense pressure and depth of the alien ocean, the submarine’s forward viewport is reinforced and encased in metal. Success means freedom for the prisoner; failure means another will be sent in their place. This marks the 13th attempt to explore the unknown depths.
