In the not-so-distant future, a colossal alien tentacle known as the "Spike" appears, towering 10,000 miles high and hovering indestructibly in Earth's upper atmosphere. Initially, its sudden arrival sparks widespread panic, but over time, humanity adapts to its presence. When the Spike unexpectedly teleports a struggling beekeeper’s hives and a mourning wanderer’s cherished car to opposite ends of the country, these two unlikely strangers are forced to unite. Together, they embark on a perilous journey across a transformed yet familiar America to reclaim what was taken from them.
