Tyler Tate, a once-promising actor now battling alcoholism and personal downfall, returns to a modest motel close to his Ohio hometown following the loss of his career and family. Consumed by despair, Tate drifts through a haze of hopelessness until he begins volunteering at a nearby theater. By mentoring a group of at-risk teenagers in acting, he gradually rediscovers hope and envisions a brighter path ahead.
