A Sicilian director receives a request from a regional producer to create a movie centered on a prominent figure from the province of Catania. Upon realizing that the project conflicts with his artistic vision, he refuses to participate. Nevertheless, the producer is relentless and coerces him into directing the film under the threat of his life.
