During the Fuel Fest event in June 2025, Vin Diesel confirmed that the final film is slated for release in April 2027. He revealed that this date was set in collaboration with Universal Studios, contingent on meeting three essential criteria.
Diesel explained that the studio proposed a Spring 2027 launch, which he embraced after considering fan input. The conditions outlined include returning the action to Los Angeles, emphasizing car culture and street racing, and reuniting Dominic Toretto with Brian O’Conner on screen.
