During a road trip to take her daughter Ruby to college, Sarah’s car suddenly breaks down in a remote area. A driver named Allie stops and offers to give Ruby a ride into town to get help. Although Sarah is reluctant, she agrees to let Ruby go with Allie while she waits for a tow truck.
